Anne-Mari World Oy is the data controller for information processed in connection with Anmai orders, commissions and customer service. Information we collect
When you visit or purchase from our shop, we may process your name, contact and delivery details, order history, product selections, payment confirmation, returns, customer service messages, marketing preferences, and information about how you use the shop, such as device and browser information, IP address and cookie choices.
If you request a personal size or length review, a made-to-measure design or an individual commission, we also process the measurements, fit preferences, fitting notes and other details you provide for that work. We use these details to prepare and deliver the agreed design, not to target advertising.
Payment providers process the payment information needed for your chosen payment method. We receive the transaction information necessary to confirm and administer your order. Shopify provides the shop and customer account services.
We receive information directly from you, automatically when you use the shop, and from Shopify and service providers involved in processing your order.
Why we process information
We process information to accept payment, prepare and deliver orders, arrange fittings and individual commissions, communicate about purchases, and handle cancellations, returns and customer service. The legal basis is performing our contract with you or taking steps you request before entering into a contract. The contact, delivery and, where applicable, measurement information needed for an order is necessary to fulfil it.
We retain and use information where necessary to meet accounting, tax and consumer law obligations. We also process information where we have a legitimate interest in securing the shop, preventing fraud, answering enquiries and handling possible claims, taking your rights into account.
We send optional marketing emails when you have subscribed or another lawful basis applies. You can unsubscribe using the link in the email. We use non-essential cookies or similar technologies, including for personalised advertising, on the basis of consent where consent is required. You can change your choices through the shop’s cookie preferences controls.
Shopify and enhanced services
Our shop is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes information about your visits and purchases to operate the shop. We also use Shopify enhanced services, which may use information about your interactions with Anmai, other merchants and Shopify to improve services, personalise experiences, provide reporting and show more relevant advertising. Information may be shared with Shopify and service providers in other countries. For these enhanced services, Shopify may be responsible for its own processing of your information.

Who receives information
We share information only as needed with Shopify, the payment provider you choose, delivery providers such as Matkahuolto, our production and fitting partners where required for your design, and providers of essential technical or customer communication services. We may also disclose information when required by law. Measurement and fitting information is shared with production partners only where needed for the agreed work.
Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where a transfer requires safeguards, we rely on an applicable adequacy decision or recognised contractual safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep information
We keep order information for as long as needed to fulfil the order, manage returns and claims, and comply with legal recordkeeping duties. We keep measurements and fitting notes for the time needed to complete the agreed work and address related enquiries or claims. If they are needed for a later commission, we will confirm this with you. Marketing preferences are kept until you change them, subject to any record needed to honour an unsubscribe request.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to your personal information, correction or deletion of it, restriction of processing, or a portable copy. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal.
